This short film, created during my first year of university, was inspired by the imposed theme of memories. It tells the story of a young man grieving the loss of his father. Continuing my exploration of literature’s role in the search for identity, which I began with A Happy Death, I drew inspiration from Christian Bobin’s Le Très-Bas. The book recounts the life of Saint Francis of Assisi, who renounced his earthly father to discover his true father in God.

The film delves into themes of identity, grief, and faith. Aesthetically, I focused on carefully composed static shots, capturing the introspective tone of the story. The film was shot in Normandy, with art direction by Émeline Piquet.
